Mount Allison University was founded in 1839 and went by the name Wesleyan Acedemy. Only in 1862 did it change its name to Mount Allison Wesleyan College and then again in 1886 to the University of Mount Allison College. In 1913, it finally changed its name to what it is today, Mount Allison University. Mount Allison is located in Sackville, New Brunswick and has a combination of historical and modern facilities. The grounds are always well looked after and campus is considered to be the most beautiful in all of Canada.
Mount Allison University is mainly an undergraduate liberal arts school with roughly 2,500 full time students. The goals of the university are to make sure each student recieves the best possible education as well as learn to be interactive among fellow students. Students here can grow intellectually, socially, physically, and spiritually. Most of the student attending Mount Allison are involved in some sort of extracurricular activities as well as help out in their communities. Seeing is how the university has a small campus it makes for an easy place to make new friends and start new and long-lasting relationships.
