Though a “children’s” museum, all ages will enjoy the interactive play and learning that can be found here. There are many different exhibits: The Theatre Room is where you can dress up in costumes and props and invent your own story in the puppet theatre. The Muckabout Room is a fun place to be, where you’ll stretch, move, build, push and pull, turn and crawl under the funky found-object tree.
In Mary’s Den you can solve a mystery, open hidden drawers and peek into old trunks. Stimulate your senses and curiosity with lights, shapes, textures, aromas and soft sounds in the Sensarium.
And did you know that food is grown right outside the museum door? The Children’s Garden is the place to learn about plants from near and far and how to tend a garden that gives back to the earth. Admission price is very reasonable, making this a must-see place for families. The museum is at 1072 Main St. E. in Gage Park.
