If you have an interest in warplanes, you will be very excited to be able to visit this center. The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum features the aircraft used by Canadians or Canada's Military from the beginning of World War II to the present. When you visit, you’ll see 1 of the world’s 2 remaining flying Lancaster bombers.
The Museum's collection also includes aircraft that really fly and several that remain on static display and are interactive workshops. What’s neat about this museum is that visitors can interact with the displays. One can climb into the cockpit of a real WWII jet fighter, the Avro CF-100. The Museum offers the visitor an educational experience that will take them back through Canadian history.
Visit the display of WWII aircraft radios in the radio room and experience a real-time operating radio station VA3CWM. The Museum also has interactive video displays, movies, photographs and memorabilia from Canadian History. This museum can be visited year-round from 9am to 5pm and is located at 9280 Airport Road, Mount Hope at the Hamilton International Airport.
