Hamilton Heritage Day is set aside for residents young and old to take the time to recognize the value of their heritage. The event can be best described in how it is promoted: “It is not just the grand old buildings that make Hamilton the place that it is. It is the ordinary houses too. Our heritage is the bay, and our industries, and the view, and, most important, the people - the ones here now, as much as those who were here before.
Our cultural heritage includes songs and stories, paths and parks, means of travel, occupations, and recreations... in fact, you determine just what makes our community heritage special.”
